From the music industryto the slice shop

Josh Ward and Stuart Clarke opened Palms in Margate in 2022, having spotted a gap in the market for proper New York-style pizza: thin, crispy, sold by the slice, and eaten with a cold beer.

Neither founders have a background in restaurants, with over forty years between them in the music industry, breaking artists around the world, their experience shapes everything about how Palms looks, sounds and feels.

Music runs through the whole thing. The Palms playlist is built around hip-hop and punk, it plays in every shop, and it is as much a part of the place as the hot honey.

The collaborations follow the same instinct: monthly specials with chefs, brands and artists we rate, our own House Lager and House IPA, and Supernatural, a natural wine made for us north of Lisbon.
